---- What is BONEKA? ------
Artist and designer Irma Niekum created her first "Boneka" (pronounced bho-nae-kha, meaning a companion doll in Indonesian) similar to this one, at the age of ten growing up in her native country, Indonesia. Her mother helped her sew the doll who instantly became a little loyal companion whenever she's studying, playing or sleeping. It is Irma's hope that her unique Boneka collection will offer children the same comfy cozy feeling her little doll provided her.  Entirely handmade of wool felt and high quality embroidery thread, no sewing machines are used to make this special heirloom quality doll, sewn by the designer herself. Please allow 3-4 weeks for her to handcraft your custom Boneka.
